3/29/02*

Version 1.08 upgrade for windows. This upgrade works only for version 1.07 (use the patch below FIRST if you have an earlier version). This will not work with demo version.

WindowsXP support: This upgrade contains support for WinXP, but you need to install the v107 version from the CD first. Please follow these steps:

1) Start the v107 install from the CD and when the 'Settings.exe' program starts up in a window, just cancel it. (If you don't cancel it, the install will probably crash).

2) Install this upgrade by double-clicking on the file after saving it to your hard drive.

3) During the install, the 'Settings.exe' program will run and should work properly. Use the 'Test' button to try out settings before saving them and exiting the 'Settings' program.

4) Run MindRover

(WinNT 4.0 is not supported with v1.08. If you have WinNT 4.0, please do not upgrade to v1.08.)

Save this pak file to your hard drive by holding shift when you click on it. Save it in your mindrover\modules directory.

If you had already installed this Add-On pack before upgrading to v1.08, then you already have this pak file.

If you have an earlier version of MindRover, then you will need to upgrade to v1.08 before these components will work.

3/29/02 - Hydro Battles, v1.08

If you have an earlier version of MindRover, then you will need to upgrade to v1.08 before these scenarios will work.

If you had already installed the Hydrobattles pack before upgrading to v1.08, then you have don't need this download.

Save this pak file to your hard drive by holding shift when you click on it. Save it in your mindrover\modules directory.

Files for testing and debugging (Windows)

biglog.reg	1 KB	This little registry setup causes MindRover to dump lots of stuff to its log file while it's running. If you want to report a bug to CogniToy, it's useful to us to have the detailed log file that you get with this registry setting.
normal.reg	1 KB	This registry setting just sets MindRover to its normal logging functions. You proably want to use it after sending us a biglog log file.
nologs.reg	1 KB	This registry setting suppresses all log messages. It is currently useful to prevent the nVidia GeForce board from crashing on startup. The disadvantage is that there will be no information available in the event of a problem.
noMixer.reg	1 kB	Turns off the sound mixer. Try setting this registry item if you suspect that your sound card may be having (or causing) some problems. You will not be able to adjust sound volumes from within the game.
yesMixer.reg	1 kB	Turns the mixer back on.
noSound.reg	1 kB	Turns the sound card off in MindRover. Try this is you still suspect sound card problems, but noMixer did not fix it.
yesSound.reg	1 kB	Turns the sound card back on.
noCDaudio	1k	Turns off CD Audio tracks. Try this setting if your sound card pauses the game when changing sound tracks.
yesCDaudio	1k	Turns on CD Audio tracks
keyRepeat	1k	Turns off key repeating on NT machines.
